How to perform GKR Kata Taigyoko Nidan

The kata is again a very basic sequence using the same embussen or floor pattern as the previous kata. In the GKR Kata of Taigyoku Nidan we are introduced to the front kick of Mae Geri and the chudan stomach level reverse punch of Gyaku Tsuki. In the GKR teachings, the karate-ka does not have to physically turn the head to look before the turns unlike the first shodan kata where looking is necessary. While you are not required to turn your head, it is still good practise to use the eyes to glance to the directions travelling in katas.
