Takedown Techniques

Polceat Martial Arts uses a variety of different techniques to bring an attacker to the floor. Taking down an opponent is probably the most influential game changing thing you can do in a fight, this is providing you can take down your opponent and remain in a controlling position by either further moving your attacker into a submission move or by means of a quick escape while the attacker is grounded. While taking down an opponent in self defense, be sure to remain on your own feet because if you both go down to the floor you then have a ground fight on your hands, something you should be looking to avoid if you are trying to escape a violent situation.

The Crossbody Throw

The Crossbow

Mixed Martial Arts Techniques

The Polecat Crossbow is a takedown technique that is employed during a one on one frontal grappling scenario, the move uses a hand placed under the jaw or chin of your opponent and a wrist lock on the opposing arm to stretch out your attacker like that of a loaded crossbow, this takedown hurts quite a lot during the technique and the takedown itself makes your attacker fall backwards adding further pain or possibly worse to the equation should your opponent land in an uncompromising position.
