Combination Techniques Level 2

Polecat Combinations as used to quickly disarm and drop an opponent to the floor by means of counter attacking. In this particular combination, an oncoming punch is deflected and the counter attack is a short inverted punch to the opponents stomach. This quickly driven stomach level punch if hit hard enough should cause your attacker to briefly purge forward, at this point use the arm that you punched with to quickly drive up vertically to catch your attackers chin.

If the first stage of the combination has gone to plan you should be able to take back your opponents head while continuing to trap the outreached arm of your attacker. Turning and controlling your attackers head away from you and pushing the arm up behind the attackers back will result in the attacker dropping to their knees with arm locked behind them for an arm bar submission.

This simple combination sequence is very similar to the first combo sequence but with the added stomach level punch and face grab. Practise these gently but as fluidly and as fast you can with your training partners but be prepared to go in really hard with this technique should you have to use it for real.
