Polecat Claw Takedown

Polecat Claw is the main hand technique used in the Polecat Martial Arts syllabus. This video explains how to break the hold of an attacker using the Polecat Claw to grab the wrist on your attacker using multiple pressure points.

Grabbing by taking the arms over the top of your attacker and reaching as far round the back your attackers wrist as possible before locking in the Polecat Claw around the wrist on Lung and Heart meridian pressure points. The pressure points are located at both the top and bottom of the wrist in the same area as the pulse that can be felt.

Bringing your attackers arm up and over in the same motion as an inside block (uchi uke), the opponent will then be forced to rotate slightly, this allows you to press behind the opponents upper arm to set up the arm bar, keeping the wrsit lock firmly tight, drive your attacker down to the ground.

This is now the best time to make an escape, if you feel extra threatend or if needs be, break the opponents arm before escaping by firmly pushing it up the back of your opponent until fractured. You should get a serious submission before this needs to happen.
