GKR Kata Sanseru

Kata Sanseru or Sanseirui is an ancient chinese style fighting system kata based on close quarter grappling from all four corners. Meaning 36 hands or 36 techniques.

This version of the kata was performed at the GKR Black Belt Grading at Batley Sports and Tennis center by the blind sensei Mark Brown who achieved the rank of 1st Dan (shodan) by perfoming the kata to a high and correct standard.

Alongside Mark Brown, is his guide for the day, Sensei Derrek Maitland who's role for the day was to keep Mark in line and facing the front while performing the karate techniques.
